Currently listening to: Colin Hay - "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You"

Sometimes I feel like a pot full of water on a stove, like decreasing the temperature simply won't ever stop the boiling.

There are all kinds of boiling, mind you. Water boiling is far more complex than anyone likes to recognize. It's knowing the difference among the options that's tricky.

Often, the bubbles really do hold all the answers. If they last long enough, they produce wonderful reflections of all we've become.

Oh, God, what have I done?

Currently listening to: Ben Folds Five - "Evaporated"

My favourite day sky is full of cirrus clouds that stretch and race and frolic.

In the olden days we would hang on the fig trees and cast them in our stories. Sometimes we even allowed ourselves to gape at cumuli: there were cygni, dragons, and all sorts of other scoowample.

Why is it so difficult to halt and consider the beauty that never leaves us? Why do we often ignore the immense possibilities life continually yields?

Well, I'm still six years old, and I still rest on my branch of the fig tree in my dreams.

It should not have happened that way.

If there was one thing Erika knew, that was it. Certainly, they would all, at one point or the other, attempt to impress exuberant explanations of all sorts upon her. It was meant to be, they would say-- one thing causes another, all relies on a butterfly. Or it's all in the hands of the blasted bunnies and running mice; have it one way or another, they were wrong.

Erika wandered and wondered but repeatedly found herself at the millesimally singular conclusion. All her claims of acquired wisdom, of returning, of ever being instrumental in the development of their lives-- they were solely that.

The truth was--- she did not know. All the refulgent beam had yielded was there should have been no initial collision, and she should have never been, and she shouldn't be. Here, there, and everywhere.
